Fair play rules
A rating is only worth something if it was earned. Here is how we keep duels honest, and what happens to people who don't.
How the game protects itself
Picks are sealed, then revealed
Your zone is locked in before either player can see the other's. Neither app can learn the opponent's choice early, because at that moment it hasn't been handed over yet.
The server decides
Goals, saves, scores and rating changes are calculated on our servers from what was actually locked in. A modified app cannot award itself a goal.
The clock is the clock
Ten seconds per kick. Miss it and the shot resolves without you: an idle striker misses, an idle keeper concedes.
Rating can't be farmed
Repeat duels against the same opponent stop counting for rating on the same day, and friendly matches never touch your ELO.
What counts as cheating
- Automation. Bots, scripts or anything that plays for you.
- Tampering. Modifying the app, or intercepting or faking the traffic between it and our servers.
- Multiple accounts. Running a second account to feed rating to your main one, or to dodge a matchmaking bracket.
- Collusion. Agreeing with an opponent to hand over a match.
- Abusing bugs. Finding a flaw and using it instead of reporting it.
- Deliberate disconnects. Killing the connection to escape a loss.
- Harassment. Abusive, hateful or impersonating nicknames.
What happens next
We look at what the server recorded for the duel in question — not at who complained loudest. Depending on what we find, the response scales: a warning, the rating from affected matches taken back, a temporary suspension from ranked play, or a permanent ban. Accounts created to get around a ban are banned too.
If you think we got it wrong
Write to support@playwowgame.com from the email on the account. Tell us which matches you mean and what you think happened. A person will look at it again.
Reporting someone else
Send us the nickname and roughly when you played them. You don't need proof — we have the record of the match. What you can't do is take it out on the player in the game.
